Community Support

Inspiring Communities

We are an employer and a neighbour in the communities in which we operate. These roles influence how we can be a useful corporate citizen.

We try to maximise our support of community events and organisations by contributing to a select number of projects where we can add benefit. Our focus is on three areas:

Local community: Our four breweries participate in a way that is meaningful to their local communities. For example, DB and our Tui brewery have a five-year support agreement with Pukaha Mount Bruce, New Zealand's National Wildlife Centre for conservation of some of our most endangered wildlife.
Education: We have a five-year sponsorship with Auckland University Business School’s New Zealander Leadership Institute, Excelerator, which helps to develop New Zealand’s future business leaders.
Environment: In 2007 our Monteith’s Brewery committed to sponsoring The Department of Conservations Wetland Restoration project ‘Project Crimson’, to replant Southern Rata on The West Coast.
